Hurray for some slightly cooler weather! Now perhaps we can enjoy some summer. My poor gardens are definitely suffering from lack of attention, but maybe later this week I can find some time to give them a go over. Most everything has done its flowering, but needs to be cut back....almost seems like fall...oh oh! Never mind, it's only August....it just seems like the summer (heat) has gone on forever.
So, how about a nice bright summery card, with this lovely sketch from The Sugar Bowl. I'm using some new papers from
My Mind's Eye, and a pretty
Simply Sassy stamp called
Hippie Chick....such a sweetie! This time I've coloured with my Tombow water colour markers, with a few stickles and liquid pearls for the flowers in her hair. She was perfect for the 'out of the box' technique, which is something I really enjoy doing. The double sided ribbon provides some added interest to the double bow, and a couple of buttons and a butterfly provide the finishing touches.
