Birthday Wishes

Well, the magic lamp has granted your wish....it's the weekend again!  Here we go with another image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, titled I Dream of Genie.  It's sure to bring a smile and what better way to send Birthday wishes.  Pop a bit of money inside, and I bet one of their wishes will at least come true!

After colouring and die cutting my image, I decided to add some frantage embossing...to give it a mystical effect.  Then I used a stencil and some DI to make the tag, adding more frantage to the bottom.  (It's amazing what you can find when you clean up your workspace..ha ha)  When finished, I was quite pleased with the effect, however, as I really didn't have a use for the tag....I once again made it into a card.  What can I say...

With summer weather finally here...how about a Christmas card?  Maybe it will work as a reminder, not to complain if it gets too hot, because winter is coming!  lol.

This sweet image is a stamp from the Stampavie - Lawrence Collection, and I've used water colours for my medium.  Non-traditional colours this time around....as it is summer!  I finally made use of one of my embossing folders here, too.

I Spy...with my little eye...

Today, I have a card using a fun image from QKR Stampede, which goes right along with their challenge for this week.  I think we all know someone who likes to chase a little white ball around.  It's not for me, however.  If by some fluke I could hit the ball any distance, with my eyes... I would never find it again.

So again, I've coloured the image with copics...cutting it out with a Spellbinders die.  The Happy Birthday is cut using the Birthday Sentimentables die from Whimsy Stamps.

Minimal embellishments to finish it off, as the the flowers and ribbons just didn't quite fit the masculine theme.  lol

Hope life is treating you kindly, and your days are full of warm sunshine!  We are in for some rain for a bit, but hopefully the sunshine will be back soon.

Getting ready...

Today I have a card with Keep Fit Kenneth, from Dr Digi's House of Stamps.  I actually have a brother by that name....hmmm.  With summer fast approaching, it's time to find out those weights and buff up a bit.  Kenneth wants to look his best for the summer reveal, and also hopes to fit into his summer clothes from last year.

Another manly card, sure to get a chuckle...I hope!  The image is coloured with copics and then cut out using the Spellbinder's Decagon die and my trusty scissors.  The fancy die-cut in behind is using a Joy Craft die...Lacey Square Frame.

This time I made my own background for the card....(thinking wrinkles ha ha!) using the Stampendous Marble Texture Cube.  In addition, I've used an older sentiment stamp from Stämpelkällan.

Hope your weekend will be wonderful, with some nice sunny temperatures.  I will be going to my granddaughter's dance recital this evening.  Always fun to see what they can do...and I can't!
