A couple of birthdays coming up....for the young ones who look forward to getting another year older. Of course being able to eat all those goodies really helps.
Here we go, with a card for one of my grandsons who will be turning nine this year. I've used an older hÄnglar stamp and water colours, then fussy cut the image. A few layers, some line borders, a bit of washi tape and then some sentiments. Nice and simple, and works great for a fall birthday.
It has become a lot cooler today....in fact I just turned the furnace on for a bit. We might just be needing those mittens soon! Thanks for stopping by.

Happiness is.....
Cheers everyone....it's the weekend again. It's one of my favourite times of the year, so I'm happy. Not too hot, not too cold, it's just right.
My DT inspiration for Dr Digi's House of Stamps uses the fun image, Happy Hour Horace. He's definitely not looking too happy, must have taken too many grumpy pills, but I'm sure he will make someone smile.
After colouring with markers, I added some liquid applique for the beer foam. As you can see, I fussy cut him out, then layered a couple of die cuts behind him, so that he appears to be sitting in a booth. He's all alone...poor chap, but he doesn't look like he wants company anyway. I think he needs a few more pints!
A couple of sentiments and a bit of washi tape finish it off. Here's hoping your weekend is better than his, with smiles all around.

Furry Friends with TTPH
Good morning all! Time for another challenge at Through the Purple Haze...are you ready? This time the theme is 'Furry Friends', and you have 2 weeks to submit your creation.
My card this week uses the delightful Sleeping Kitten image, provided by our lovely sponsor. I've used markers to colour in those gorgeous flowers while leaving the kitten mostly white.
The DP is from the Prima Fairy Flora collection, and I've added accents of black and white for both die cuts and embellishments.
The two dies used are the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight and Decorative Curved Square.
So looking forward to seeing what you an come up with, this time around!

Country mail
Happy Saturday everyone. It may be raining, but I'm not complaining. Loving all the green after such a hot dry summer. Having no plans for this afternoon I could do some house work or maybe some crafting....I wonder what my choice will be.....such a hard decision. ha ha
My card today has a somewhat CAS theme, with a few stamps, one piece of DP and an image from Sparkle 'N Sprinkle. titled 'A Little Note'. I've coloured with markers and then cut out the image with a Spellbinders die.
The DP is cut along the pattern line, producing the different shape, with some added stamping in black ink. The corners are also stamped in black, but I then added some clear glue and glitter over these for a bit of sparkle.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend....rain or shine.

Fall Garden
Finally!! My type of weather is here....lovely and warm, lots of sun and no humidity! If only this could be year round. I'm hoping it sticks around for a good long while!
Something a little different today with no DP. Instead I have used an older background stamp...Floral Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms with Pan Pastels to make the base. The flowers are purchased and the leaves are made with the Vines die from Whimsy Stamps. The butterfly uses a peel-off sticker and vellum, and the sentiment is another peel-off. Just a few gemstones added for a bit of bling.
A nice easy make, and perfect for a fall birthday. Here's hoping you are enjoying your day, and hopefully your weather is behaving too!

A little Christmas attitude...
We're still dealing with heat alerts and extreme humidty, so I'm hoping a Christmas card will cool things down! I'm, really looking forward to fall, but knowing my luck....we'll have an early winter instead. Then I'll be able to complain about the cold...
This is my DT inspiration for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, using one of the new Christmas images...Elvis the Elf. Such fun to colour using markers and a bit of pencil. I've cut and matted the image with the Spellbinders Decagons die, adding a bit of stamped greenery to the edges for a bit more interest. The DP is from my stash and the sentiment is from one of Dr Digi's sentiment sheets. I like to colour and fussy cut these, for something a little different. You will see a little bit of gold edging and some peel-off stitckers for embellishment.
Hope your weekend is all that you wish for! Enjoy ...,and thanks for stopping by.
