One more Easter card

Hello there everyone, and here's wishing you all a Happy Easter, and maybe some nice weather to go along with it!  If Mother Nature doesn't want to cooperate, hopefully some nice chocolate treats will chase the winter blues away.

I played with some nice soft spring colours for this little sweetie from Saturated Canary, but my mind was fixated on chocolate when I chose the papers for this card.  I started with the chocolate brown mat that I cut with the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die, and then I found these papers from MME to tie everything together.  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps and I cut it out using the Fancy Framed Tags die, again from Spellbinders.  If you look closely, you will notice that I've rubbed some gold on to the brown for some added interest.

He's hopping down the bunny trail...

Hello everyone!  It's so hard to believe that it's only one week away from Easter and the end of March!  We came home to more snow this week, after leaving the sunny skies of Florida, but thankfully it is starting to disappear.  It would appear that those in the British Isles are getting blessed with the white stuff now....sorry girls but I hope you keep it over there!  I really don't want to see any more of it.

Today I've made an Easter card with this delightful Easter Bunny image from Just Inklined.  Now the bunny may be the centre of attention, but for me....I'm taken with the daffodils.  So looking forward spring and the garden coming up again.  Once again I've coloured with my copics, framing with the Spellbinders Square Swatches die.  The papers are all from an older Pink Paislee collection...Queen Bee.  The lovely sentiment is a freebie which you can find here.

Thanks so much for popping by, and I do hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Spellbinders die - Lacy Ovals
Whimsy - Dainty Notables 4 die and Everyday Sayings sentiment

Day 2 of the new release at Just Inklined

Hi there!  Today's card uses another new polymer stamp from the new release at Just Inklined, and the DT has had lots of fun playing with them.  Remember you can find them all here at La Pashe.

Once again, I've used my copics and then coloured the background with chalk.  This time I've inked the edges with DI, making it look more like evening when the lamp would be on.  The background DP and the fancy border are from my stash, and I have absolutely no idea when or where I purchased them...they are probably almost antique! (lol)

I do hope you enjoyed your visit, and hopefully you will head on over to see the rest of the DT's creations.  Have yourselves a wonderful day!

Some challenge for this card:
Creative Card Crew - #31 Ribbon
Oldie but a Goodie Challenge - Feeling Floral

Fresh off the press!

Good morning everyone!  Today, there is big news happening at Just Inklined.  A new release of their new polymer stamps and you can find them here.  Both today and tomorrow, the DT will be showing off their newest creations using these delightful images.

Keeping this post short, as I'm actually away on holiday...hopefully enjoying some nice warm weather, just like this card!  This stamp was a dream to colour up with my copics, while the background is shaded in with different colours of chalk to convey a summer's evening sky.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's projects, and come back tomorrow for more!

Time for a Sketch

It's also time for a new challenge at Charisma!  This week...yes it's time for a sketch, and it was such a nice one to work with.  I hope you think so too, and will give it a go!

I've been playing with some water colours for a change, using my Tombow markers.  From past experience, I find it works better with stamp and ink rather than computer ink, so I've coloured up this sweet Magnolia image...Tilda with Spring Bundle.  Always fun to try some different!

This is our sketch for this week, and I chose these pretty papers from the Basic Grey - Picadilly collection.

The flowers are from Fred She Said, which are printed on the computer and then cut out with scissors.  I added a bit of DI to the edges for a bit more definition.

We are really looking forward to seeing your projects, and this week we are sponsored by:

(who are offering a £10 Voucher to their online shop)

Still looking for inspiration....be sure to check out all the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT!

Some fun challenges that I will be entering:

Little Lamb for Easter

Good morning again!  My second post today, and this one is a card for a GDT spot at Lexi's Creations for this week's challenge theme of Easter.  I was provided with this lovely image (Easter Lamb), and decided it would be perfect for my younger granddaughter, who still sleeps with 'Lambie'....a little stuffed bunny that she has had since a baby.

I've coloured the image with copics, adding some chalk for the background.  The pretty papers are from MME and their Fine and Dandy Girl collection.  The yellow strip across the centre is a piece of that fancy tape that is all the go now.  I had lots of fun with punches and dies, but otherwise just a bow and a few gems for embellishment, as the papers are rather busy.

Tools used:
Martha Stewart punch - Edge Doily Lace
Whimsy die - Dainty Notables 4
Spellbinders die - Labels Twenty Three

I'm now ahead of the game and have one card ready for Easter.  Can you believe it's only four weeks away!  Don't forget to check out all of the DT creations this week at Lexi's, and perhaps get your card into the challenge for your chance at a lovely prize.

March Blog Hop at Just Inklined

Can you believe it is March already!  Hopefully winter will soon be done with, and the white stuff will all go away.  In the meantime, get yourself comfortable and take a virtual hop down the Just Inklined lane!  This month, Gaynor is our lovely hostess...with the theme Die Cuts and Pearls, and that's where the fun begins.  If you've arrived here from Karen L's blog, then you are on the right track, otherwise you may want to start back at the beginning, and don't forget to leave comments along the way, for your chance to win one of the two spot prizes!

The Hibiscus....such a beautiful flower, but not hardy enough for our winters....though I did try!  I'll have to be content with this lovely image, which can be purchased and downloaded here.  My copics worked their magic again, with some liquid pearls for the stamens.  I've paired it up with this pretty paper from the Prima - Fairy Flora collection, and if you look closely, you will see that I heat embossed a script stamp on the matting using gold embossing powder.  I found some gold metallic paper for the butterflies to go with the corner piece.  Doesn't it all look so warm and sunny?

Tools used:
Martha Stewart punch - Zig Zag edger
Spellbinders die - Labels Two
Cheery Lynn die - small Exotic Butterfly

Well, as I am the last one on this hop, I do hope you had a grand time and found some new ideas.  Now you just need to find some time to get crafty.  Have a wonderful day!
