Me and my Teddy

Hi there.  This will be my last DT card for Paper Crafting Journey, as their final challenge is underway right now.  We hope you can find the chance to make a card and enter....one last time.

I tried something different this time.  I've used a digital paper for the card, and I've resized a part of it and used it for paper piecing the girl's dress.  I haven't done much playing with digital papers, or paper piecing, for that matter, but I will have to give this one a try again.

Oh, how does your garden grow...

Good morning everyone!  Are you ready for the new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey?  A nice easy one this time, and perfect for the season.  This time the theme is Flower Power.  So let's see those projects with some pretty flowers!

Our wonderful sponsor is Crafty Sentiments, and they've provided this sweet image titled Lady Bird and Butterfly.  I had lots of fun colouring her up with my copics and some pencil, with a bit of sparkle added here and there.  Once again, I've used a Spellbinders die for cutting and matting, but I've fancy cut just a wee bit of her hair.

Some polka dots today, for both paper and ribbon, and a simple stamped sentiment.   The added flower and leaf are a cut and print from Fred She Said, and I've added some shimmer with Perfect Pearls powder. The flower center is a combination of yellow stickles and gold glass beads.

Now that summer is finally here, with luck we'll be enjoying lovely flowers in the garden.  But for those days for when flowers don't bloom, how about making a card to brighten someone's day.

Just take a hike....

Good morning!  I'm back from my holiday and my guests have left, so now I just need to get my head on straight.  That may take some doing....so of course, a card with a bit of humor.

Oh yes.....I'm sure that more than a few of us can relate to this sentiment!  It's just one of the fun sentiments available at Dr Digi's House of Stamps.  Of course, if you really are heading out on that hike, it's always best to take someone else along....preferably someone that is bigger and stronger than you!  This delightful image, Hilda and Hercules, gave me a chuckle...and I'm really looking forward to sharing it!

Good morning!  There's a new challenge today at Paper Crafting Journey, and we are hoping you can join us.  We have your favourite theme, I'm sure,  Anything Goes!

Here, I have a fun card with lots of colour, and I know a little boy who rides just like this!  A nice
simple design using two patterned papers, a bit of stenciling and a button.  The image is from our
sponsor, Kenny K, and titled Bicycle Boy, and it was a real joy to colour.  I've used my copics with a bit of pencil for the background.

Some days are like that....

Here we go again, summer's upon us and all of those wannabe BBQ chefs are giving it a go.  Of course things don't always go as planned, but isn't it wonderful when they do!  Here I have a card using the BBQ Bill image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps.  Bill appears to be a wee bit frazzled, as does his first attempt of the season.  Better luck next time!  A wonderful image for the upcoming Father's Day.

For trimmings, I've added some rub-ons from my stash and some gold coloured brads.  Always difficult trying to decide on embellishments for a guy's card.  I still need to add a sentiment but that will have to be later....I'm on holidays now!
