Well, it's the weekend again, so of course it looks like rain...but no complaints from me. At least the temperatures are comfortable, and the gardens do need the moisture, plus I just want to relax after a busy week visiting with family members.
So, another Christmas card, ready to be delivered. This image is titled Robin on a Post Box, from Just Inklined, and is so nice and easy to do up. I've again coloured with copics, adding liquid applique for the snow.
Using white paint and green ink, I have used a pine branch stamp to create a bit of border. I've also stamped the greeting and the bits of holly, but the ornaments are on the paper from MME.
Here's hoping you get a chance to relax this weekend also!

Handmade Flowers
Good morning....it's Thursday again, and time for a new challenge at Charisma. This week we are looking for you to make your own embellishment. Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's wonderful creations for some great ideas!
So we'll start with the flowers, which are die-cut from some lightweight mulberry papers. I then added some colour and doodles, plus some gemstones for the centres. I've placed them on another die cut which I think looks like a trellis.
This time, I played with water colours for the image, with lots of DI around the die-cut edges. If you look closely, you will see I also added dots to the edging, both here and on the corner pieces which were made with a corner punch. All dies and punches are listed below.
Hopefully you can spare some time to make a card and join in with us this week, as once again we have some lovely sponsors. Here they are with some fabulous prizes, and by clicking on each image you can see their product.

Seeing is believing...
Hello out there in blogland. What a wonderful day we have today, after yesterday's rain and storm. The temps are still in the 90's but at least the humidity has dropped. Just a quick post today, as my 2 young grandsons will be arriving shortly, for an overnight stay.
Another Christmas card...what can I say. I think it must be a survival instinct or reaction to all the heat! Today's card using another of the wonderful Just Inklined images from their Best of Just Inklined 2012 CD ROM.
I've coloured the image with copics and coloured pencils, then used chalk for the background and distress stickles and DI for around the edges. The patterned papers are from MME, and for the added sparkle I have used peel off borders and stickers. The pretty snowflake is paper quilling, made by my daughter...thanks Steph! I wonder if she has made any more lately.....
Here's hoping you all have a lovely weekend, with fine weather and good times. Stay safe, and thanks for visiting.

Classy but cool...
I'm in full hibernation mode today! it's a scorcher outside....so hot and humid. Thank goodness for air conditioning, but what about those that don't have it! It looks like it should cool down a bit for Sunday, and maybe some thunderstorms before then. I quite like watching a storm, just so long as it isn't too crazy and severe. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
For today's card, I finally got around to inking up some new rubber stamps. No colouring, just black ink and a pretty patterned DP from Webster's Pages makes for a nice easy card. Other than the die cuts, the only embellishment is 3 little gemstones.

Staying cool
Good morning! It's hard to believe that it's already mid-July, until you step outside....it's a scorcher today! I've been away on a bit of holiday, so my gardens could use some attention, but that is not happening. It's inside for me today. Perhaps I'll chase some dust bunnies around....then a glass of wine...
Today I've played with this charming image from Just Inklined, titled All the Best Chalkboard. It was nice and easy to colour using my copics, and could be used for so many occasions.
I also followed this sketch from Sketch Saturday, adding some faux stitching for a bit of added interest.
The papers are from K&Company...their Julianne collection, and the stamp is from Inkadinkado...Vintage Expressions.
Lots of DI used on all of the papers, and just a bit of sparkle added with some paper candi for the corners.
Hope your day is wonderful, but take care and stay cool!

No Designer Paper
Hello there. Here's hoping you are all having a lovely weekend. I've been away for a few days with my sister-in-law. We flew to Halifax for a bit of holiday and exploring, so I'm a bit late posting this card for the challenge at Charisma. There is still time to join in though, and this week the challenge is No Designer Paper.
Here, I've stamped Happy Birthday a few times on a card blank, adding various elements and a bit of polka dot ribbon. The butterfly and the greenery have been cut out using my Silhouette, and I've used a MS punch for the border on the grey cardstock. Nice and easy...a quick one to put together on a hot summer's day.
A few challenges.

Christmas is coming....a little birdie told me
Good morning everyone! I'm on a roll with another Christmas card today, this time with another wonderful image from Just Inklined, from the Best of Just Inklined 2012 CD ROM. Then I'm off to Toronto to take in a show and perhaps do a bit of shopping!
Once again I've coloured with copics, adding liquid applique to the snow and glossy accents to the berries. For the frame, I've used the Oval Frame die from Nellie Snellen and distress inks.
The papers are from the MME Be Merry collection, but this time it's the 12x12 size with lots of glitter and shine. The fancy corner uses the a Memory Box die, to which I have added stickles for a bit more sparkle, and the scalloped edging uses a MS punch.
The sentiment is stamped and fussy cut, then attached to coordinating papers and fussy cut again to create a shadow effect.
So, thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a fun day too!

Peace..Love..Joy
Feeling
somewhat disillusioned here today, as a result of some commentaries that I read, so I decided to make a Christmas card. Perhaps a Christmas message is in order.....and goodwill to all.....
I've had this image coloured for a while now, and it's a freebie that can still be found at the Scrapbook Stamp Society. It is coloured with copics and cut out using the 'out of the box technique'.
I've played with this lovely sketch too....something I'm not very good at, but it did go together nicely. When I take time to craft, I generally just go wherever it takes me....kind of a free spirit!
The pretty papers are from the MME 'Tis the Season collection, and I've dressed the card up with some relaxing doodling...using gold pen.
It will soon be the weekend, and I'll be going to Toronto to see CATS with my daughter. Something to look forward to, and I hope your weekend will be good too!

Stars, Rhinestones & Twine
Wow! It's July 1st already.....a holiday here for us, as we celebrate Canada Day. I'm not sure if it will be rain or shine, but the temperatures are good....not too hot. It's also time for the next blog hop at Just Inklined, so take a small break and have a peek at what the DT is sharing this month.
Tangii is our lovely hostess this month, with the theme of Stars, Rhinestones & Twine, and I'll start by giving you the blog hop order.
Be sure to leave your comments at each stop, for your chance to win one of the mystery spot prizes.
Here I had a play with one of the new summer images, titled Seaside Anchor. I've coloured it all with copics, giving it a darker sky for a bit of mystery. For me, it brings to mind...buried treasure, so that's where you'll find some tiny gems.
No fancy papers on this one, but a number of die cuts coloured with DI's, and then some doodling. My first time for making that squiggly border, and it's not quite as simple as it seems. Thankfully I used pencil to start, as it took me two tries!
Supplies used:
Spellbinders die - Star Circles
Cheery Lynn die - Ankara Lace
Whimsy - Corner die
I do hope you enjoyed your visit, and all your other stops along the way! Take care now, and enjoy your day!
