Good morning all. Today's card for Doctor Digi's House of Stamps will be my last for the DT as I am stepping down from the team. I love the images, as they are so much fun, but my eyes are giving me serious problems and I need to cut back. Oh, the joys of the Golden Years, they are really something to behold!!
Here, I've had fun with the Elliot and Elvis image...a new one for this year. Coloured with markers in nice bright colours, I'm sure it will bring a smile this Chrismas. I've kept it nice and simple, with lots of white space and a couple of sentiment stickers that I found in my stash. I added a bit of glitter to the DP, but it doesn't show well in the photo.
Enjoy your weekend everyone. Savor the lovely fall weather while it lasts, before winter sets in.

Pizza overload...
It may be Thanksgiving, and traditionally the meal is turkey....but I'm sure some will be going for pizza. This fun image is from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, titled Fast Food Frankie. Hopefully he's having a party, and not eating all these pizzas himself.
Coloured with markers and a bit of pencil, I've added a bit of background to the image. The card itself is really CAS, using one piece of DP and some washi tape. Nice to know that washi tape does wonders to a bit of paper candi too!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. (here in Canada)

Santa's Washing...
Hi again. Just thought I would post this card while I'm waiting to see if the cloudy skies are going to produce rain. I want to get out in the garden while the weather is still mild, so as to put the gardens all to bed....as we know quite well what is coming.
So, in keeping with a positive outlook....Christmas is coming. We'll let the negatives slide for now, and here is a Christmas card with a lovely image from The Paper Shelter. It's coloured with markers, with some liquid applique added for dimension. An added sentiment, a Spellbinder's die and some gold metalic pen provide the finishing touch.
I've used a couple of Christmas DP from my stash, along with a MS punch for a lacy effect. A bit of ribbon and 2 bits of paper candi adds just a little embellishment.
Thanks for stopping by, and try to get out and enjoy some fall temperatures before the winter sets in.

Fall Garden
Finally!! My type of weather is here....lovely and warm, lots of sun and no humidity! If only this could be year round. I'm hoping it sticks around for a good long while!
Something a little different today with no DP. Instead I have used an older background stamp...Floral Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms with Pan Pastels to make the base. The flowers are purchased and the leaves are made with the Vines die from Whimsy Stamps. The butterfly uses a peel-off sticker and vellum, and the sentiment is another peel-off. Just a few gemstones added for a bit of bling.
A nice easy make, and perfect for a fall birthday. Here's hoping you are enjoying your day, and hopefully your weather is behaving too!

A little Christmas attitude...
We're still dealing with heat alerts and extreme humidty, so I'm hoping a Christmas card will cool things down! I'm, really looking forward to fall, but knowing my luck....we'll have an early winter instead. Then I'll be able to complain about the cold...
This is my DT inspiration for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, using one of the new Christmas images...Elvis the Elf. Such fun to colour using markers and a bit of pencil. I've cut and matted the image with the Spellbinders Decagons die, adding a bit of stamped greenery to the edges for a bit more interest. The DP is from my stash and the sentiment is from one of Dr Digi's sentiment sheets. I like to colour and fussy cut these, for something a little different. You will see a little bit of gold edging and some peel-off stitckers for embellishment.
Hope your weekend is all that you wish for! Enjoy ...,and thanks for stopping by.

TTPH Monochrome
Good morning everyone. Time for a new challenge at Though the Purple Haze. Hope you can join in for our Monochrome Challenge.
Another hot and humid day, but I won't complain....I'm sure someone must like it. I've been out already, putting out the trash, and that's enough for me today. Time for a cool down. We actually had some rain yesterday...I can't remember the last time I saw rain. The weeds are loving it, but the grass and gardens have given up I think. Just like me...
I tried for a CAS look this time, with the colour blue. This lovely image from our sponsor...Love my pets is coloured with markers and some pencil for the tiny bits. The only embellishment is the paper tape, something that was hidden away in a drawer....for years actually!
Have fun, and try to stay cool!

Hot stuff...
Hi there. Are you enjoying the lazy days of summer yet? It's been quite hot here...much too warm for doing anything too strenuous...I guess that's where the saying comes from. For all the sun aficionados, the beach is the place to be, but hat's not for me though....unless it's an ocean beach!
Here, I have used water colours and a stamp from the Art Impressions...Beach Babes set. I've added a beach scene background and then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.
The flip flops and shell are also stamps, which I have coloured and cut out. The striped paper is from my stash, and you will see that I've added a bit of doodling to make a border.
Although this card would be perfect for this time of year, I think I will save it for a birthday when it is cold and snowy. Sure to be appreciated then..ha ha.

Ahhh Spring....
I always know it's spring when I see my first robin.....and no, I haven't seen one yet, but hopefully soon. So for now, a card with another little bird from the Crazy Birds set, and some sunny colours to brighten the day.
Water colours again, and a Spellbinders die to cut out and mat the image. The same DP has been used for the mat and the upper punched border.
For the background, I've added some floral stamping, using the Touch of Whimsy stamp set from Penny Black. I didn't colour these, but I did add some glitter to some of the flowers.
No further embellishment...just the sentiment using a stamp from Printworks. I'm sure that is what we are all wishing for!
Thanks for stopping by.

May your Christmas be merry....
Hmmm, won't be long now! The little ones are getting excited, with big smiles similar to this little guy, while the adults are probably still rushing around trying to get things done. Of course some people are super organized and have been ready for ages....that is so annoying! ha ha
This is a KennyK image coloured with markers and mounted on some festive DP from Wild Rose Studio. Bright festive colours and a perky little elf....seemed like the perfect card for a friend of mine. Someone with a great sense of humor who always makes me smile.
Merry Christmas everyone, and wishing you all the best for the New Year. Many thanks for stopping by and having a peek at some of my posts, and thanks too for the lovely comments.

Happy Holidays
Well, I made it down to my craft room, but I'm not really there yet with much motivation. As I have a number of stamps and images coloured up, I think perhaps I'll try to make them into cards. Hopefully Mr Mojo will be along soon! Perhaps he will pick up those buttons that I spilled on the floor.....not allowed to bend yet. I see a potential for a big mess!!
Here I have used water colours to colour this Simply Sassy stamp from Funky Kits. The papers were from my leftover bits, and just a little bow for embellishment. Christmas colours of red and green, with some gold metallic marker to provide the edging, and its all ready to go. Won't be long now, until the holiday season is here, as fall is definitely upon us.
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your day!

Bicycle Boy
Good morning everyone. Still awaiting the energy to go downstairs to my craft room, but the thought is there. I've now transitioned to the cane, rather than the walker, so at least it is now feasible. Maybe today??? In the meantime, here is a card that I thankfully finished before my surgery, as my grandson's birthday is coming up quickly!
This Kenny K image is perfect for the birthday boy and was a delight to colour up with my copics. Nice and simple, with minimum embellishment. I used the Spellbinder's Postage Stamp die behind the image, and added the bit of line/stitch work to the image to make it look like a stamp. I think it worked.
Thanks for visiting, and hoping all is well with you.

Beautiful dreamer....
Hello everyone! It's about time I did another posting, and it is far too hot and muggy to be outside. Thank goodness for air conditioning. I've added another page to my travel journal today, and if I see something like this on my travels I'll be sure to let you know.
Remember now, too much sun or alcohol can make you do strange things! ha ha. This delightful image is from Make it Crafty, and once again, I've coloured with copics.
I've gone with the 'out of the box technique' to cut him out, and some stenciling for the background. Just a bit of washi tape and a few sticky dots to dress it up.
Hopefully by this time next year I will be up and about and ready to travel again....and make use of this journal.
Enjoy the summer while you can, after all...we know winter will be here soon enough.

I Spy...with my little eye...
Today, I have a card using a fun image from QKR Stampede, which goes right along with their challenge for this week. I think we all know someone who likes to chase a little white ball around. It's not for me, however. If by some fluke I could hit the ball any distance, with my eyes... I would never find it again.
So again, I've coloured the image with copics...cutting it out with a Spellbinders die. The Happy Birthday is cut using the Birthday Sentimentables die from Whimsy Stamps.
Minimal embellishments to finish it off, as the the flowers and ribbons just didn't quite fit the masculine theme. lol
Hope life is treating you kindly, and your days are full of warm sunshine! We are in for some rain for a bit, but hopefully the sunshine will be back soon.

Are you ready?
Ta dah! I finally got down to my craft room to work on this week's DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps. Today I've coloured up Gardening Gus with my copics. Quite fitting for the upcoming season, which will be here soon....hopefully. I could really use this guy's help at my house this year, so if you see him about, please give him the message!
You might notice, that even though it's a card for a guy....I've added a bit of ribbon and even a flower! Wow! Also remembered that I have a drawer full of punches, and put one to good use. The sentiment is from a set from Mark's Finest Papers - North American Woods. I thought it fit the theme perfectly.
Hope all is well with you. I'm just waiting...and it will be a long one, for my hip replacement, and trying to find a comfortable way to sit. Any suggestions or helpful hints would be much appreciated.

Let there be Red...
This may be Valentine's Day weekend, but I've gone with red and a Christmas card. A relatively simple card, using a Spellbinder's die to first cut the DP, then some shiny red card stock, and finally the stamped image, all in graduated sizing. Although it is a little difficult to see, I have heat embossed the stamp with the WOW Sparkling Embossing Powder, for a nice festive look. Otherwise, theonly embellishments are some snowflake and border peel-offs. It will fit nicely into an envelope for Christmas mailing!
Winter is still in full force, back on the home front, and i am not missing it one little bit! I'm sure hoping for changes before month-end when I have to return. Take care everyone, and stay safe and warm.

Wrinkle free...
Happy weekend everyone! For all of those of you in the colder climates....hope you are staying warm. For the rest of you....I'm jealous!!! I wonder how many more days until spring? Sure hope it comes early!
Today's card uses a newly acquired image from Lacy Sunshine (Mayde Pressing Matters) and some new sparkly ribbons from Crafty Ribbons. Notice the nice spring colours....even if the subject is ironing? But I know someone who actually likes to iron, and this card is for her. Not my favourite pastime, but then.....she isn't into crafting.
Once again I've coloured the image with copics, then cut it out with a Spellbinders die and edged with silver metallic ink. For the card itself, I've used a stencil and embossing paste to make the pretty pattern, then added shading with distress inks. The heart embellishment is cut from gold glitter paper and then gold peel-offs provide the sentiment. If you look closely, you can even see the polka dots peeking through from the original DP.
Hope to get someironing (ha ha), I mean crafting in today. Definitely not going outside, where it is so cold and windy. The sun may be shining, but it doesn't fool me...that wind will cut right through you! Take care and stay warm.

All Wrapped Up
Well, Christmas is over and New Year's is nearly here, then.....oh, oh, just plain old winter. While some are wishing for snow, others (like me) are waiting on spring. I'm looking forward to longer days and sunshine...getting tired of gray skies and brown landscapes, but at least there is no snow!
Today I've done a card for the new progressive challenge at the Outlawz Challenge, with a free image from Simply Betty. I've coloured with copics, adding yellow stickles to the star and Christmas bulbs. Once again, I had fun using the 'out of the box' technique for cutting the image out.
Trying for something a bit different, I used a stencil on the strip behind the image, and kraft for my contrasting cardstock. The fancy edging is made with a Cheery Lynn die - City Girl Edger.
Here's wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year.....and hopefully a short and mild winter.

Happy healthy holidays...
Well, I'm home again. Thankfully the weather held and I got away to see my daughter and then my parents. Both households were fighting some sort of bug, so guess who has a scratchy throat today? I'm hoping I can hold it off, as I don't need that for Christmas!
Today I have a nice quick card, using s sweet image from A Day for Daisies. Just some contrasting papers and a die cut for the background, and then a sentiment, some ribbon and a couple of stars to finish it off.
Here's hoping you are all staying safe and well, as you are getting ready for Christmas.

Peace on Earth
Another Christmas card, ready to post! A nice simple design, with just a pretty image and and bit of ribbon. The fancy die cut edging adds a decorative touch and provides great contrast to the red.
Supplies used:
Elizabeth Bell rubber stamp - done with watercolours
Spellbinders die - Labels Eighteen
Cheery Lynn die - City Girl Edger
Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons
I managed to get some Christmas shopping done yesterday, and today I'm going to get my head around some accounting. Our weather is not too bad, still holding around the freezing mark. I can handle that. Hope all is well where ever you may be. Stay warm and snuggle up!

Soon It'll Be Christmas
Brrrr, winter is definitely here....hope you are keeping warm. Won't be long now until I'm in my hibernation mode, whereby I venture outside only when necessary.
So, in tune with the weather, my card uses some cool colours. This is an Elizabeth Bell stamp done with watercolours, and I've added some frantage embossing for some added sparkle, and a Spellbinders die to cut it out. Keeping it relatively simple, so that it goes in the post, with just a ribbon and a bit of greenery for embellishment.
It's hard to imagine that Christmas is just over a month away. I guess it is time to get shopping or at least put my thinking cap on. I'm with some of my grandchildren this weekend, perhaps I can get some ideas. Hmmm
Thanks for stopping by, and I'm hoping you have a wonderful weekend.
