Good morning all. Today's card for Doctor Digi's House of Stamps will be my last for the DT as I am stepping down from the team. I love the images, as they are so much fun, but my eyes are giving me serious problems and I need to cut back. Oh, the joys of the Golden Years, they are really something to behold!!
Here, I've had fun with the Elliot and Elvis image...a new one for this year. Coloured with markers in nice bright colours, I'm sure it will bring a smile this Chrismas. I've kept it nice and simple, with lots of white space and a couple of sentiment stickers that I found in my stash. I added a bit of glitter to the DP, but it doesn't show well in the photo.
Enjoy your weekend everyone. Savor the lovely fall weather while it lasts, before winter sets in.

Pizza overload...
It may be Thanksgiving, and traditionally the meal is turkey....but I'm sure some will be going for pizza. This fun image is from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, titled Fast Food Frankie. Hopefully he's having a party, and not eating all these pizzas himself.
Coloured with markers and a bit of pencil, I've added a bit of background to the image. The card itself is really CAS, using one piece of DP and some washi tape. Nice to know that washi tape does wonders to a bit of paper candi too!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. (here in Canada)

Happiness is.....
Cheers everyone....it's the weekend again. It's one of my favourite times of the year, so I'm happy. Not too hot, not too cold, it's just right.
My DT inspiration for Dr Digi's House of Stamps uses the fun image, Happy Hour Horace. He's definitely not looking too happy, must have taken too many grumpy pills, but I'm sure he will make someone smile.
After colouring with markers, I added some liquid applique for the beer foam. As you can see, I fussy cut him out, then layered a couple of die cuts behind him, so that he appears to be sitting in a booth. He's all alone...poor chap, but he doesn't look like he wants company anyway. I think he needs a few more pints!
A couple of sentiments and a bit of washi tape finish it off. Here's hoping your weekend is better than his, with smiles all around.

A little Christmas attitude...
We're still dealing with heat alerts and extreme humidty, so I'm hoping a Christmas card will cool things down! I'm, really looking forward to fall, but knowing my luck....we'll have an early winter instead. Then I'll be able to complain about the cold...
This is my DT inspiration for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, using one of the new Christmas images...Elvis the Elf. Such fun to colour using markers and a bit of pencil. I've cut and matted the image with the Spellbinders Decagons die, adding a bit of stamped greenery to the edges for a bit more interest. The DP is from my stash and the sentiment is from one of Dr Digi's sentiment sheets. I like to colour and fussy cut these, for something a little different. You will see a little bit of gold edging and some peel-off stitckers for embellishment.
Hope your weekend is all that you wish for! Enjoy ...,and thanks for stopping by.

Keep on smiling...
Just a quick post today, with my DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps. Using markers, I've coloured up the Mad Hatter image, for something for any occasion. Using a number of Spellbinders dies, black cardstock and some striped DP, I've then cut the DP for the image and added the black frame. A few peel-off stickers for a touch of glam for the final finish.
Dies used:
Spellbinders - Labels Eight, Phrase Set One, Decorative Curved Square set.
So remember to keep on smiling and enjoy your weekend.

Forever Young....at heart
What I love about Dr Digi's images, is how they play so well into cards for members of my family. Here we have El Gordo, who's not afraid to strut his stuff. Full of vim and vigor, and not a day over 29...I'm sure!
Once again, I've coloured the image with markers and used the 'out of the box' technique to cut him out. I've puffed him out with a few extra layers and some foam dots for extra dimension. The Happy Birthday sentiment is also from Dr Digi, from one of the sentiment sheets which can be found here.
I pulled a MS 'round the page' punch out of hibernation to cut out the background DP, and coloured a bit of paper candi for embellihment. If you look close, you will see a bit of gold edging and some tiny gold peel-offs for accent.

Not my cup of tea...
Such a cute image, and really fun to colour, but if I ever find a mouse in my teapot...I'm sure the shock would kill me! Mice look lovely on cards, but not so cute if you find one in your home. This is my DT card this week for Dr Digi's House of Stamps using the fun image...Door Mouse.
The image is coloured with markers and cut out with a Spellbinders die, then a bit of faux stitching and some gold pen for the edging. The DP is cut using the Marianne's Anja Edge die, and again I've used gold pen for some edging. Some stickles fill in the cut work, and peel-off stickers provide the Happy Birthday sentiment. I couldn't resist using the blank white space for a hand written comment!!
Have a great weekend, and here in Canada it's a long weekend. Another hot one....stay cool!

A bit of a mess....
Another weekend, and time for another DT post for Dr Digi's House of Stamps. This time I've gone with an older image....Non Drip Gloss. Coloured with markers, I then added glossy accents to all the paint....I'm thinking oil base!!
I found some papers and ribbon in my stash, and used very simple dies to cut everything out. The sentiment is an older stamp from Rubber Stampede
Have a great weekend everyone, and don't let this guy near your craft table!!

A little attitude...
School's out, summer's here, and we finally had a bit of rain. I'm not sure if it will do the grass any good, but at least it will benefit the gardens. We've had an extremely dry June, and it really makes you wonder what the rest of the summer will be.
School's out...provided my inspiration for this week's DT card, using the Kid Pan Head image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps. Although things generally start out pretty good, I'm betting there will be a bit of attitude at some point over the summer.
Coloured with markers and a bit of pencil, once again I've used the 'out of the box' technique to cut it out. I've used a number of layers to frame it out, and some older papers from my stash to make the card. I made use of a new bubble stencil and some grey DI for a bit of added interest, and then made a simple border using a grey sparkle pen.
Some silver paper candi for embellishment, and finally the sentiment....a new purchase from a Dylusions Quote set.
Thanks for stopping by, and as this is a holiday weekend for us....Happy Canada Day!

Lady in red....
Ho ho ho....it's the weekend again, and no it's not Christmas! (thankfully!) It looks like we're in for some lovely weather...just hoping it doesn't get too humid. But just in case we start complaining when it gets too hot, here's a reminder of winter.
Winter coats, winter boots.....like mice and bugs, look so much better on cards than in real life. Although not a Christmas image, I feel that Gladys Winterbottom, from Dr Digi's House of Stamps fits the bill perfectly when she's all decked out in her winter woolies.
I've coloured with markers and used the 'out of the box' technique to cut out the image, with some red cardstock and older DP from Memory Box. Only the sentiment is from an actual Christmas line, but all the red and then the winter theme does the trick. The fancy die cut uses the Joy Craft Lacy Square Frame, and I've smudged a bit of glitter over it for some sparkle.
Here's hoping you all have a lovely weekend. I think summer is finally here to stay.

Hear all about it...
Well, the heat wave is still with us, and not much rain in sight. I won't complain though, as some parts of the world are having horrendous floods right now. It does make you wonder what this summer has in store.
So, now for a card to bring a smile to your face, with an image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps....Mr Speaker (birthday). I do so like to do my part, in reminding friends and family that they are not getting any younger. It's only fair...as many are younger than me!
I've coloured the image with markers and a bit of pencil, cutting it out with a Spellbinders die and the 'out of the box technique'. You will see quite a bit of doodling and edging, using a fine black marker.
The DP has been cut using the Spellbinders Classic Petal die, and the letters for 'Old Guy' make use of a small alphabet die.
As this is my DT project for Dr Digi, I would also like to let you know that there is a special promotion going on Facebook. Be sure to check it out for your chance to win!

A Crafty Gator...
Ah ha...I finally made something other than a card! I've been collecting boxes, from Tetley Tea for quite some time, with great intentions of making them into something useful to store some of my crafting supplies. Well, I finally did one, playing with some distress stains and getting really messy.
This is my DT submission for the FB challenge for Dr Digi's House of Stamps. This time around we are looking for Anything But A Card, and I've chosen to colour up Alistair theAlligator, which you can find here.
To complete the box, I first applied two coats of gesso, followed by an application of Wild Honey Distress stain. This didn't quite cover all the print, so I then rubbed some Walnut Distress stain in a circular motion...and this was the result. I was quite surprised.
I then stamped some grasses and some insects, all around, and used some washi tape for a bit of contrast. Mr Gator, has been edged in black and adhered with foam tabs. He seems quite pleased with the result....giving me a thumbs up. lol
Here's hoping you can join in with the challenge this month, and looking forward to peeking at your creations. Thanks for visiting.

Rain drops....
Good morning everyone. Of course we are all hoping for sunshine this Mother's Day weekend, here in Canada, but of course Mother Nature doesn't make promises. This is another fun image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps...Rainy Raymond, somewhat appropriate for the spring season.
He's coloured with markers and cut out using the 'out of the box technique', a favourite of mine. The sentiment is from the Verve Stamps Blue Skies collection. The papers are from MME, and the only added extra is the strip of washi tape. I think this makes for a nice encouragement card...something without flowers....for a man.
Have a great weekend everyone, and remember, we now have a fortnightly challenge on our FB page. A chance to win, plus something to do if it does rain!

Still on the ball....
Finally...my oldest brother turns 60 next month. It's been rather lonely, here in the sixties all by myself! Being the only girl in the family, I like to tell people that I'm his youngest sister...but that worked much better before the hip and the cane. Oh well.
This image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps seemed to fit the occasion, and you can find it here. I've coloured with markers and hand written the sentiment. Of course, the inside message won't be quite so positive, after all, it is my brother! lol
For the card background, I've used a crackle stamp.....to represent some wrinkles, and added a few patterns of washi tape. For embellishment...some paper candi, and some die cuts for the corner and the number 60.

He's a Winner
Hmmm, I do believe that baseball season is starting up again now, and that should mean it's spring! Somehow that's not happening around here right now thouch...instead, we seem to be getting a few flurries each day.
Here is my DT posting for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, for their ongoing FB challenge SPORT, which you can find here. I've used the First Place Phil image, colouring him with markers and fussy cutting him out. Found some DP that reminded me of chain link fence, and then some plaid papers...because guys like plaid, right?
A couple of die cut wordings, and then a sentiment from Stämpelkällan, and just a few brads for the finishing touch.

Morning after....
Good morning everyone, on this fine Easter weekend....at least we are hoping it will be fine, with some nice warm sunshine to melt away the accumulated ice from the last few days. Mother Nature keeps teasing us with little tastes of spring, but then grumpy Old Man Winter has to spoil it! It could almost drive you to drink....
....and then the perfect image....Hangover Hannah from Dr Dig's House of Stamps. Love those slippers, they look so warm and toasty. A nice simple card, as I was running late with my DT posting. The image is coloured with copics and edged with DI, after using my Spellbinders die. You will notice a bit of doodling and stamping with silver pen and ink, and a bit of coordinating paper candi, Remember to check out the new FB challenge at Dr Digi, which you can find here.
Here's wishing you all a happy Easter, with good times with family and friends.

Here's trouble....
Good morning all, the weekend has arrived....and now the kids are on their March break. I think this year we could even call it spring break....no flowers yet, but no snow either! Just hope it stays!
This is my DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, and the image...Player One, is quite fitting don't you think? Playing video games is sure to be a favourite activity this week. Just in case you haven't yet heard, Dr Digi now has a Facebook page and a bi-weekly challenge. Be sure to check it out here.
After colouring, I've fussy cut the image, attaching with foam tabs to a die cut backing. I've used only one DP, but in a few different ways, edging with one of the markers that I coloured the chair. I hope you like the orange....I took a trip down memory lane. It did so remind me of a set we had years back. I'm always a fan of yellow, so the result is a nice sunny card. No embellishments, just some doodled faux stitching and a stamped sentiment to finish it off.

Master chef....
Now, dragons may be creatures of fantasy....but we all know that BBQ is real! So while we patiently await summer's pleasures, how about a card to light up someone's day. This image is sure to do the trick, and can be found here....at Dr Digi's House of Stamps. If only cooking could be that easy!
I've coloured with copics today, inking around the edges with DI after cutting out the image with the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares die. A corner punch for a little added interest, and a couple of sentiments....makes for a fun card, sure to bring a smile. Kind of makes me hungry too....

Feline fancy...
For cat lovers everywhere...this one's for you. This wide eyed picture of innocence can be found here, at Dr Digi's House of Stamps, though I'm sure it's actually been up to plenty of mischief! And, for those of you that are allergic to cat hair, like myself....this one is hypoallergenic!
I found some papers in my stash that co-ordinated well with my colouring, using a MS punch to add some fancy edging. I kept looking, and found a few stamps I could use too! Once again, I've used the 'out of the box' technique to cut out the image with a Spellbinders die.
Thanks for stopping by...hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Big Hugs
While not everyone may have a special someone who would qualify as a Valentine, we all know someone who would appreciate a fun card with a big hug. This is my DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, and I've made good use of this sweet image....Quackers. Such fun to colour and sure to bring a smile.
After colouring with markers, I've used my Spellbinders die and the 'out of the box' technique to cut out the image. An older DP from Memory Box pairs up well with the older heart stamp from Stämpelkällan, and still on a roll.....the sentiment is from an older Stampendous set. Isn't it great when you find just what you need in your older stash?
Hope you are keeping well, and warm. This weekend we are supposedly having temperatures of 4 or 5...with rain. I'm definitely not complaining, but I'm sure the skiers are. Oh well, they had lots of snow last year.
