Lucky Dog...?

Well, it doesn't look as if we're to experience spring anytime soon.....the April forecast isn't very promising.  Our temperatures are still at the freezing mark, but our snow has disappeared......something to appreciate after a trip north to my daughter's, where it looks like the snow's there to stay!  So, I'd say we're rather lucky, because at least we get to pretend it's spring....so long as we stay inside!

My card today is using the Mycroft and Watson image, and of course Watson looks so comfortable that he must be a lucky dog....for a little while anyway.  For some reason it reminds me of Grandpa 'resting his eyes' in front of the TV, and then.........hmmm!

This is just one of the many images from Just Inklined that is good for a chuckle, and could be used for a number of different card purposes.  I've coloured with Prismas, adding some glossy accents and a tiny gem to the vase.

The wording and the swirls have been made using stencils and a black marker, while silver brads mount the image in place.  The ribbon feeds through another little silver bit, (though I don't know what it's called), which I found in my stash, of course!  If you look closely, you might see that I've altered the green DP using a crackle stamp.  This gave an old forgotten piece of paper some new life!
