An Ornamental Snowy Ride

Well, it's definitely starting to feel like Christmas is coming....temperatures have dipped enough, we could even get some snow!  Thankfully it's not the deep freeze, so it shouldn't be here to stay.  What a difference a week can make.....brrrr!

Today I've used a cute stamp from Ladybug Crafts Ink titled Sledding Magnum & Lily.  I do enjoy making a card with a nice snowy image...always good for Christmas, but otherwise I prefer to stay inside where it is warm and let everyone else brave the winter past-times.  This is both the most comfortable and sensible way to go, as I really would be an accident waiting to happen!

Coloured with copics, with a bit of liquid applique for dimension, I cut it out and matted using the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments die.  Trimmed it up with some metallic pens, Viva Decor pearl pen and silver heat embossing.

The papers are an oldie from Bo Bunny, and I added a bit of stamping to the centre panel and plenty of DI to all of the edges.  A die-cut snowflake, some gems and a ribbon bow finish it off.....and to fend off the winter chill...a sentiment of Warmest Wishes!

Thanks for stopping by today.  May your day be bright and sunny....and warm!

  5. Love the design if this card Joyce, beautifully designed and made. Sounds like you are colder than us, but our autumn is very late this year, we have had unusually mild temperatures for this time of the year which is why I still have colour in the garden. Have a good weekend.
