Hi there.  This will be my last DT card for Paper Crafting Journey, as their final challenge is underway right now.  We hope you can find the chance to make a card and enter....one last time.

I tried something different this time.  I've used a digital paper for the card, and I've resized a part of it and used it for paper piecing the girl's dress.  I haven't done much playing with digital papers, or paper piecing, for that matter, but I will have to give this one a try again.

Perfect in Pink

Good morning!  I'm pre-scheduling today's post for the newest challenge at Paper Crafting Journey.  This fortnight's theme is Perfect in Pink, a nice easy one.  Our very generous sponsor is Sassy Studio, and they have provided us with some gorgeous images that work wonders for this theme.  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's work for some wonderful inspiration.

Lots of pink here, for Powder Puff Sassy, isn't she a cutie?  Oh for the day when we all looked like that (ha ha ha), these days, just balancing on one foot would be a challenge!

Once again, I've coloured with copics and then cut the image with a Spellbinders die.  The lace and bling are something I rarely use, and the pretty DP is from a digital download pack from Bearly Mine Designs.  These lovely papers print out beautifully.  I finally tried a new technique this time around....frantage embossing.  I still need a bit more practice, but I do like the result.

I won't be around much over the next three weeks, as I have company visiting from England.  Thankfully I was able to finish my gardens before they arrived, and now I too will be having a holiday.

Thinking Spring

Greetings.  We're still waiting on spring, but maybe tomorrow it will get here.  The snow is slowly disappearing, but we still have ice to melt so it will probably be a while.  Mr Skunk was back this evening, looking for grubs....I'm sure he will do quite a number on the lawn.  Hopefully we'll still have one when he's finished!

So, again I've gone with a warm weather themed card with lots of bright colours.  This is the pretty Village Pump image from Just Inklined.  I've coloured with copics and coloured pencils, and Pan Pastels for the sky, and then I've made good use of the Spellbinders die - Creatopia Frame 2, for both cutting and matting the image.

For the very first time, I've used a digital paper for my background.  It is a freebie design from Bearly Mine and you can still find it here.  I was really surprised how nice it printed out...I think I may have to go shopping!
