Garden Beauties

Good morning!  We had some lovely weather this weekend...perfect for working in the garden.  It is still cooler than normal and we are still wearing jeans and jackets, but the sun was shining!  I'm having my windows cleaned today.  This was something that my husband used to do, but I'm not one for ladders....heavens, I'm barely safe on steps!  I'll be doing the inside, but outside....no way.

So today, another card with a spring or summer theme.  A bit of fussy cutting and some copic colouring for the lovely image, and some pretty flowers and a butterfly for embellishment. I'm not sure that there will be fairies in my garden, but hopefully soon there will be flowers and butterflies!

Supplies used:
Image from Delicious Doodles - Ivy Fairy
Paper from GCD Studios - Ella Blue collection
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Marianne's Craftable Die - Swirls and Leaves
Peel-off butterfly on vellum, coloured with gel pens
Sentiment from Verve Stamps - Birthday Surprise collection

Thanks so much for visiting, and here's wishing you a wonderful day!

Anything but a card...

Good morning all!  Are you ready for another challenge at Charisma?  Today, the DT has some wonderful projects to share, with their takes on this week's challenge...Anything But a Card.  Be sure to check them out for some inspiration, and hopefully we'll get to see your entry too!

With Christmas on it's way, I thought to make a bottle tag, as I'm sure a bottle or two of wine will be on my gift giving list.  This was a first for me, but it really was nice and easy to do.

I started with this pretty image from Delicious Doodles, one of our sponsors, colouring it up with copics and a bit of pencil.  The backing papers are all from my stash, and you will find an added die cut snowflake, some punched fir sprigs and a few pearls to dress it up.  That little pink bow came in real handy, after my glitter pen decided to spring a leak...leaving a lovely blob on her bracelet.  I've never had that happen before, have you?  It was working fine for her fingernails, and then...well it's in the trash now!

Once again, we have some wonderful sponsors again this week, as follows:

Prize #1

(with winner's choice of 6 single digi's)

Prize #2

Prize #3

Polka Doodles - #43 Christmas Anything But A Card

Did Someone say Cake......

This card was made by another of my little Treasures, this time Martina, who is 11. She chose to make a card for a very special wedding, and this cake looked sooooo delicious.

The image she used is from Delicious Doodles, and was one of the free digis being given away each day this week. They are having their first ever challenge, and this is Martina's first ever entry! Be sure to check them out.

In addition, this card is also being entered into the Little Hands Do Crafts Challenge. For both of these entries the project could be ANYTHING.

Bunny in a Box

This card was created with inspirational help from a number of great challenges. The digi image was a free image from Delicious Doodles, one of the groups taking part in the Free Digi Kick Off Challenge over at CDAC. If you haven't been there yet, be sure to check it out.

I used the sketch provided by KL Stampin N Scrappin for their current challenge (#36).

Basic Grey paper, layered over pink card stock makes up the background layers, while a complementary paper, also from Basic Grey is used for the flower and flourishes. These I cut out on my Silhouette.

A green shimmery ribbon, woven through the circular mat and tied in a bow, provides a little extra detail for the gift wrapped bunny, and extra dimension is achieved with the use of pop-dots.

....Crafty Little Place - #50 Colour Me Delovely
